So, this is pretty big news.
We have had 2 Creative Directors from day one and now feel it's time to go on the hunt for someone to join us who can assume the role of an Associate Creative Director, working alongside Alexandra and Florian. We know it's going to be difficult to find the right person, but someone out there should fit the bill.

To be honest, describing the right person isn't easy. We want someone with a certain mindset, a bit of a jack of all trades. You will be an exceptional concepter with great ideas that make us giddy with excitement, someone who isn't influenced by current trends, but draws inspiration from everywhere and any time. We need a dreamer and a doer, someone who has strong aesthetic judgement, but isn't tied to a certain aesthetic. You will have worked in this industry for longer than you can remember, have a solid understanding of digital, possess guts, heart and common sense (think Wizard of Oz). You will be able to use words, pencils, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash or whatever else to get your ideas across, have experience with live action and photo shoots, and be used to working across multiple clients, projects and channels, from websites for small indie bands to strategy and consultancy for large global organisations.
Needless to say, your portfolio should speak for itself.

We have bracketed this position as Associate Creative Director or Design Director. Yes, they are different jobs, but this is THE most senior position we have ever offered, so we are looking for truly amazing individuals that might be one or the other or both or even more.
It doesn't matter where you live now, but you should be willing to relocate to London by Sept/Oct 08.

We are looking for an Art Director or Senior Designer to join our team permanently.
You should have an excellent portfolio, showing you are versed in art direction and design for print, digital and motion graphics and displaying a passion for design and innovative use of the medium of your choice as well as extensive practical experience of bringing projects to life, from an initial briefing to the final product.

At Hi-ReS! you will be working across multiple clients and projects, from small indie bands to art books to large global organisations, as part of a team of designers and developers, so while you care passionately about everything you do creatively, you also enjoy being part of a team of creatives and love a good discussion.
We want you to be curious, wanting to learn new tricks and maybe teaching us some new tricks along the way. Feels odd to even mention this, but you know Adobe's CS Suite inside out. After Effects, Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator will be open on your computer pretty much non-stop. Additional knowledge of 3D packages such as Maya, C4D or Max are not essential, but welcome. We don't need you to be an AS3 expert, but you should want to know Flash beyond the timeline.

You should be based in the UK, ideally London, as this position is available immediately. We will however consider strong candidates from anywhere else, especially Europe, but if you are interested in joining from the US for example, be aware that the process of obtaining a visa can take up a lot of time.

Junior Designer

This is a great opportunity for anyone just out of Art School or with 1-2 years experience to become part of a team of rather lovely people with an abundance of talent.
We want people who are hungry to learn and experiment, and have managed to build a portfolio that shows they know their stuff, but are always pushing themselves. You should be driven by ideas, not tools, but not be afraid to learn to use a new tool if the idea demands it.

Intern

After a long long break, we are ready to offer interships again. You won't be making tea or coffee here. You will be fully working as part of a team on a selection of projects, right from the concept phase through to the final product, provided you stay long enough.
Needless to say, we are looking for people who have acquired a certain skillset for themselves already. For this year, we are mainly considering application from those of you who are more active on the coding side of things - knowledge of AS2 and AS3, PV3D, PHP or Ajax would be wonderful.

We are also offering one internship for a designer or motion graphics artist.
